HOMEASE MORTGAGE BROKER L.L.C (“Hom-ease”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through hom-ease.com and our mortgage and real estate brokerage services, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it. This Policy is written to meet our obligations under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “UAE PDPL”) and, for visitors from the European Union or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
1. Who we are
Hom-ease (HOMEASE MORTGAGE BROKER L.L.C, Dubai Commercial Licence No. 1069090, issued by the Government of Dubai, Ministry of Economy & Tourism; RERA Broker Card No. 56502, issued by the Dubai Land Department/RERA) is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through this website and our brokerage services. Hom-ease is licensed for Real Estate Buying & Selling Brokerage and as a Mortgage Broker, registered office: Office 1703-04, Iris Bay, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 2. Personal data we collect
- Information you give us directly: your name, email address, phone number, and any message details when you submit our contact form, request a callback, or take part in our referral programme.
- Information you give us if you proceed with our brokerage services: details needed to assess and progress a mortgage or property enquiry, which may include employment and income information, identification documents (e.g. passport/Emirates ID), and property details. We only ask for this once you choose to proceed, and only what is needed for that purpose.
- Information collected automatically: when you browse hom-ease.com, Google Analytics collects technical and usage information such as your approximate location (country/city level), browser/device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. 3. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the brokerage service you’ve requested — based on your consent and, once engaged, performance of our agreement with you.
- To liaise with banks, lenders, or developers on your behalf to progress your application — only with your consent, and only with the institutions relevant to your enquiry.
- To understand and improve how our website is used — based on our legitimate interest in running an effective website.
- To meet legal, regulatory, or audit obligations, including those of the Dubai Land Department/RERA and the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism — based on our legal obligations.
- To verify your identity and comply with UAE anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist-financing requirements that apply to real estate brokers, under Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018 and its regulations — based on our legal obligations. This is why we ask for identification documents when a transaction proceeds.
- To run our client referral programme — based on your consent when you take part.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your separate consent. If you have agreed to receive marketing from us, you can opt out at any time by emailing info@hom-ease.com or using the unsubscribe option in any marketing message.
4. Who we share it with
- Banks, mortgage lenders, and property developers — only where relevant to progressing your specific enquiry and only with your consent.
- Service providers who support our website and operations (e.g. hosting, email, and analytics providers), bound by confidentiality and limited to what they need to provide their service to us.
- Regulators, courts, or authorities — including the Dubai Land Department/RERA, the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism, and, where legally required under UAE anti-money-laundering rules, the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit — where we are legally required to.
We do not share your personal data with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.
5. Where your data is stored
Our website and tools may store or process data outside the UAE — for example, where our hosting or analytics providers operate servers abroad. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your data protected to a standard consistent with the UAE PDPL.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information (e.g. contact form submissions) for as long as needed to respond to you, and for a limited period afterwards in case you follow up, after which it is deleted if no engagement proceeds. If you become a client, we retain your file for as long as our engagement continues and for any further period required by law or regulation — including RERA recordkeeping requirements and the minimum five-year record retention that UAE anti-money-laundering rules require of real estate brokers for transaction and identification records — or to resolve disputes.
7. Your rights
Under the UAE PDPL (and, where applicable, the GDPR), you have the right to: be informed about how your data is used; access a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or outdated data; request deletion of your data where there is no legal reason for us to keep it; restrict or object to certain processing, including for marketing; and request your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@hom-ease.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
8. If you are visiting from the EU/UK (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction outside the UAE, the GDPR (or your local equivalent) may also apply to our processing of your personal data. In addition to the rights listed in Section 7, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence — for example, the CNIL in France or the relevant Landesdatenschutzbehörde in Germany. Because the UAE does not currently hold a formal data-adequacy decision from the European Commission, where we transfer your personal data from the EU/UK to the UAE we rely on an appropriate safeguard for that transfer — typically your explicit consent to the specific transfer, given in the course of enquiring about our services, or contractual data-protection commitments with the relevant receiving party. Given Hom-ease’s current scale of EU/UK client engagement, we have not appointed a formal EU representative under Article 27 GDPR; we will review this position if our EU/UK client volume grows materially.
9. Keeping your data secure
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
